Sorry for the lack of posts, I’ve discovered the family of IPAs from Dogfish Head Brewery. Three excellent and very hoppy beers (or “blachgh, that’s bitter” according to hrod). The names of the beer refer to the amount of time that they are hopped during the boil. The 60 min is great drinkable anytime, anyday beer with an alcohol content of 6%. The 90 min (my favorite) packs a whopping 9% alcohol, yet still delivers a very nice flavor. The 120 min is interesting, but just too strong (21% alcohol!) for me. I hear the secret is to let the 120 min IPA age for several years before drinking…Oh and if you can find a bottle of 120 min IPA be prepared to spend close to $10.

Happy Birthday America
Happy 4th of July, a day late. Heather and I took some great photos of the Boston fireworks display. Our vantage point was the rooftop of the biology building at MIT. That is building 68 for those who prefer the MIT naming system. Also updated the image section with pictures from roller blading in Lexington, camping at Otter River state park, and finally hiking in Purgatory Chasm.
