Global knives are dangerous

For xmas Heather gave me a Global Chef's knife Very sharp. In fact, it is the sharpest knife I've ever owned. To be honest heather is the one who uses the knife the most, and she is also the one who has suffered the most injuries. Aside from slicing through finger nails and the ends of her finger tips, last night she nearly decapitated her index finger while slicing a red pepper. Luckily, despite being a very deep cut, the cut was not very long. No stiches, but it will most likely leave a nice scar. Consider this our endorsement for global knives.

Is Heather okay? I trust Heather went to the doctor and had the wound properly cleaned. Please tell her to keep an eye on the wound. If there is any swelling, change of color, oozing, redness creeping up her arm or other different look to the skin or fever/malaise, please take her to the doctor or ER immediately. Wow, that knife sounds dangerous. Please be careful.

Oh, I'm fine. I think Dave over-embellishes just a tad! Well, a lot! Luckily I have great platelets and it stopped bleeding pretty quickly. But just to be safe, I used my other knife tonight!! The global knives are great, just be careful!

Yikes... A sharp knife is a good thing, but this one sounds quite extreme. It's fortunate that Heather's body has fast bleeding control, but please do take care!

Hi Heather, Glad to hear that you are okay and without permanent damage to your finger. Yes, I realize Dave 'over-embellishes' sometimes, but I am quite concerned. Be sure you keep your finger really clean. You do not want an infection. And, in your particular case, I think it would be prudent if you TOLD Dave to make homemade chicken soup FOR YOU (with a whole chicken and lots of veggies and some noodles - none of the canned stuff). Add a few cloves of garlic. You'll never notice the garlic. It's nature's own antibiotic. Honest, homemade chicken soup and garlic have been proven over and over again to fight infections, colds, flu or whatever ails you! And a nice helping of Blue Bell ice cream (French or Homemade Vanilla) would be nice!

The soup sounds tasty. Maybe it's best not to use the knife when making it, though...
