New blog feature
2005-03-10 00:00:00
I know, a lack of updates lately, but I've added a new feature. A clever js utility to aid in comment input. Part of the problem with our homebrew system was that you needed to encode the comments in html to make things such as lists and paragraph breaks.
Now that is a thing of the past! I've
installed WYSIWYG text editor for formating the comments. I hope
this will make everyone happy and lead to more comments. Thanks
to milos for nagging me to update the blog.

I've waited this long for THIS? This entry blows. What percentage of
your updates are purely about additions to your blog or about how your
blog works or what's wrong with your blog. Why don't we get more
interestong updates? What about updates concerning noses and phenol?

PS - before anyone harps on my poor grammar, I am sorry about the '.' in place of the '?' and the misspelled word.

Well, this is a blast!! But a few quick points:
- a real blogger would have built his own WYSIWYG editor, preferably using only css
- this new feature is only useful if there is something to comment on
- i think the blog should focus more on hrod's sarcastic commentary. it's funny.

hmm, the WYSIWYG seems a tad wyged out. The previous post seemed
better formated than that before i hit submit. maybe it needs a
preview option.

It better produce valid html!
valid xhtml 1.0

Which is more than I can say about my own entries. I often would
forget to properly escape urls in posts, thus not validating.

I have to agree with the others... any new stories? Or pictures? The more frequently you write, the more likely we are to check back... and leave comments.

Now even milos has updated more recently. Maybe you were up on him 801 to 297 in February, but if you don't watch out his traffic will outpace yours...

What's the point of having a "new" blog feature if you don't use your blog?
